Northern Arizona
Trip Summary: On this magical trip you will experience the breath taking beauty of one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World—Grand Canyon—and then go some 70 miles away to get a bird’s eye view of it from atop the highest point in Arizona. The extremes of climate and ecological zones is unique and adds an element of uncertainty and daring that make this an R&R adventure that you will never forget.
Itinerary:
Day 1 – Flagstaff, AZ
- Fly into Phoenix International Airport, ALL flights arrive by noon.
- Transport to common meeting area where local participants will join us for a noon departure
- Drive to Flagstaff, AZ and set up the campground
- Team dinner
- Team activity around campfire
Day 2 – Grand Canyon, AZ
- Following breakfast, drive to Grand Canyon for a day at the canyon
- Team hike for several hours in the canyon
- Walk along the rim and explore the shops and cultural/visitor center
- Drive back to the campground for a team dinner
- Team debriefing about the day
Day 3 – Hike Humphrey’s Peak
- Following breakfast, drive to the trailhead at Snow Bowl Ski Resort
- Prepare for long day hike of Mt. Humphrey’s at 12,670 ft.
- Following the hike, transport back to campground for team dinner
- Team debriefing about the day
Day 4 – Return to Phoenix, AZ
- Following breakfast, team building follow up activity
- Brake down camp and drive back to Phoenix, AZ
- Team snack on the way back to Phoenix with a 2pm arrival
- All flights out of Phoenix International Airport beginning at 4pm
- End of “Canyons and Summits”
